Clown props or simple magic tricks?

I am in a drama class, and have to deliver a monologue in which i am a clown. I need props and/or a costume. I don’t have any wigs, giant shoes etc… any ideas? I was thinking some simple magic tricks or something like that. Thanks

clowns are supposed to be funny. Magicians use magic. I say nix the magic, unless you are supposed to be a magic clown? Being a clown doesn’t necessarily mean getting dressed up like a clown. It’s all in the body language, and how you move. Since this is a drama class, I’ll bet your teacher would rather see you come in deliver your monologue using clownlike body movements than to go in there, and give a meaningless monologue dressed like a clown. Dressing like a clown=Bad idea. Good monologue +good clown body movements=good idea. Good luck with that.
